Dorothy E. Summers (Doris) passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Memorial Regional Hospital South in Hollywood Florida. She was 90 years old.

Born in Newark, NJ to Bessy and Isadore Handler, she resided there until 1965 before moving to North Brunswick, NJ where she raised her family. She later moved to Kendall Park, NJ and spent her final years in Hollywood, FL.

Doris was a loving wife of 12 years to her husband Jerry, and a loving mother to her 2 sons, Dean and Barry. Doris was a homemaker and also worked at Macys Department Stores for many years.

Doris loved shopping, and enjoyed the shopping channel QVC. Everyone who knew Doris loved her. She was always very kind to everyone she knew.

She is survived by her sons Dean Summers (63) and Barry Summers (60), her grandchildren Justin Summers (29) and Taylor Purinton (29), and her great grandchild Mia (3). A private Shiva will be held in her honor on Thursday November 7 at her son Dean’s home in Fort Lauderdale, Fl.
