Erika, 95, died Monday August 7, 2023 peacefully in her sleep in Coconut Creek.  

Erika was born January 23, 1928 in Gretstadt, Germany, a daughter of Erich and Elenore.  She met her late husband Johannes(Hans) Wurche (date of death November 15, 2008) and married on September 27, 1946.  

They moved to the United States of America and settled down in Middle Village , New York. 

Erika enjoyed a full life in New York with Hans and eventually purchased a second home in Coconut Creek, Florida where they would live part year at first.  Eventually they moved to Florida permanently and called Coconut Creek their home. She enjoyed gatherings with friends!

Erika is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Erik and Erhardt and sister Erna.  
Erika is survived by her sister Elinor Firnkes of Shirley, New York and bother  Egbert of Poppenhausen, Germany.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

As per Erika’s request there will no services.
