Helia Magaña Orozco

March 6, 1966 - August 26, 2023

 

Helia Magaña Orozco, beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and overall an exemplary human being, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2023 surrounded by those who held her dearest.

 

Helia is survived by her parents: Alfonso and Elodia Magaña; her husband, Efrain Orozco and her four children: María Patricia, Maria Yeimi, Efrain, and Jesus; ten grandchildren: Bryan, Camila, Alfonso, Sebastian, Lea, Esteban, Gabriel, Anahi, Aiden and Adrian; and nine siblings María Eugenia, Martin, Arturo, Jesus, Juan, Laura, Alfonso, Miguel and Gustavo. She was very much loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

 

Helia loved life and saw the beauty in everything even after she was diagnosed with lung cancer in January of 2022, she fought till the very end. Her determination and her faith in God was Inspiring. Helia will be remembered as a kind soul that always put others first; when making any decisions, she always considered how they would affect every single person around her.

 

She made an impact on everyone she met, and every soul she touched. She loved drinking coffee, making home-cooked meals and hosting her entire family. Helia was a fan of contemporary decorations, and adorned her home as if it were a showroom. When, in doubt, you could find her in her garden, either tending to her flowers, planting new additions, or planing what to add next. One can say she lived her life in this very way, as if it were garden, caring for what she had, and planing for what was to come.
