Joseph F. Pierce (Mickey) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and formerly of Glassboro, NJ passed away on August 3, 2020 at the age of 84.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Ann (MacDonald), his children- Laura Bruynell (Steve), Patricia Pierce (Alan Petrusky), David Pierce (Constance Ortlip), Jennifer Botkus (David), his stepchildren- Patricia MacDonald, Robert MacDonald (Therese), Teresa Newcomb, Kathleen Hessert (Rick), Kevin MacDonald (Emily), Heather Ryan (Bob), Ann Margaret Fawcett (John) and 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings Wilma Gismondi (Terry Sr.), Drew Pierce (Elaine-predeceased), John Pierce (Laurie) and the mother of his children, Patricia M. Pierce.
Joseph was born in Camden, NJ to Wilmer and Margaret Pierce. He graduated from Pitman High School in 1954. At the age of 19 he joined the Air Force and served his country for 4 years. Joseph was a member of the Glassboro Park and Recreation Committee. He coached Park and Rec basketball as well as midget football. He worked at Texaco Eagle Point Plant for about 20 years.
In 2003 Joseph and Ann moved to Florida. There he worked at the PGA National Golf Course in Palm Beach Gardens for a short period of time.
Cremation is being handled by Atlantis Simple Cremations in Pompano Beach, Fla. There will be no services at this time.
