Paula Jamiel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paula Jamiel, age 69, of Oakland Park, Florida, on March 15, 2025. Born on November 13, 1955, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Paula was the daughter of the late Lionel A. Richard and Beatrice (Levesque) Richard. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother.

Paula is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Michael Jamiel; her children, Jennifer Pavao and Joshua Jamiel; her daughter-in-law, Sarah Jamiel (née Holdren); and her cherished grandchildren, Carter and Logan Jamiel.

Paula was a woman of resilience and determination. She returned to school at the age of 50, earning her college degree with honors in 2008. She approached every challenge with a positive attitude and a passion for learning.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Paula had a love for life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed gardening, fashion, and music, and she was an avid fan of New England sports teams. Paula’s sweet tooth was legendary, and her love of dessert was only matched by her love for family. Above all, Paula’s infectious laughter and caring spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
